Showering Tips for Dry Skin, Eczema & Psoriasis

1. Shower in tepid, not hot water. Hot water dries out skin.

2. Keep it short. Limit showers to 10 minutes. Long showers dry out skin.

3. Avoid traditional soap bars, and soaps containing surfactants like SLS (sodium laureth sulfate) or those with a high pH. Try out liquid and castile soap like Dr. Bronner's or Emily Skin Soothers.

4. Pat skin dry and apply your favorite emollient within 10 minutes to seal in moisture.
